Cello gut strings "Late"
String set "Late" (unwound + silver)
With this string set string tension decreases towards the lower ranges. It is suitable for music after 1680.For music from the late Baroque period onwards we offer string sets containing silver-wound bass strings made by TORO. In order to produce a balanced overall sound, the tension of the individual strings in a set containing metal-wound bass strings should decrease in the lower pitch ranges.
From late Baroque leading up to the Romantic period, the high-pitched string of a bowed instrumend became increasingly important taking on the role of the solo string. Players therefore chose a more robust string to boost its volume.
You can choose between light medium and heavy.
